Last week at a teacher conference, I learned that we need to be facilitators of learning inside the classroom more than direct instructors or lecturers. With all the changes in education that are taking place, its not to be like it was when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's. We had instructors that lectured a whole lot and controlled everything including who's voice was most important to listen to. In this class I will step aside and allow peers to teach peers as well and build an atmosphere of respect where students listen and pay attention to each-other. Why? Because they themselves will be the ones helping each-other in the work force.
